The Flying Kiwi Award is presented to the two junior members of the Schulmauckland delegation in recognition of and thanks for their willingness to provide lodging space for the visiting delegation. Of special note is the sharing of once-secret Kiwi dessert technology—maple syrup as an ice cream topping. Our top chefs will endeavor to replicate this local delicacy. |

The highest award presented by the delegation is the Golden Kiwi. This is presented to Mr. & Mrs. Craig Abcivvis, who most graciously extended the official invitation to the Schulmania delegation and provided for their needs whilst in country. In addition to their warm hospitality, they were kind and a pleasure to get to know. Cuisine was in most capable hands and ranged from very nice lamb roast and lasagna to Kiwi confections of every sort (Moro, Pineapple Lumps, Jaffas, and of course Hokey Pokey). Transit was also in very capable hands—finding the lake house in pitch black night as easily as navigating about Schulmauckland.
After all, the scenery of the country is quite breathtaking, but the best part of all is connecting with friends. The delegation hopes that it will be able to reciprocate with Schulmauckland and host a state visit of its own some time in the future. |
