2009 Schulmauckland State Visit Final Preparations


It is the eve of the Schulmauckland State Visit and preparations are occurring at rapid pace on both ends. Delegation leaders Archduke Bower of Schulmanicus and Grand Duke Splunt of East Atkinos have prepared their teams and are nearly ready for a voyage of epic proportions. The Supreme Wirdle has directed the Office of Anachronistic Technology, which runs the Schulmania website, to develop a directory dedicated to the state visit. The directory is under development and will debut after the return of the high level delegation.

Constituencies at home have been placated, despite the fact that the state visit will result in a lull in new SC4 content postings for Schulmania; the first such lull in Schulmania's history. It is anticipated, though, that use of a USB flash drive will allow the possibility of updating live from Schulmauckland, but it is certainly not a guarantee. Let's view preparations on both ends as the departure time draws nigh.

Agriculture Commissioner Zelgadis Junior and his trusty sidekick have been granted sweeping new lawn maintenance powers. For the duration of the state visit, they will assume the title of "Vegetation Management Technicians" and will help prevent overgrowth in the lawn areas.

Placation for Schulminions not able to make the journey is essential for good public relations. A shirt has been ordered for every citizen. If you didn't get one yet, check your mailbox soon.

And now, to Schulmauckland, where crews have been busy readying the orange carpet and practicing their singing of Rocky Top.
