We are collecting votes for our options on what to do with the Schulmericho site now that the siege is over. Please review all options carefully before making your selection.The City Planning Office and Office of Military Construction will review your selections before issuing a final recommendation.

 

OPTION 1: Raze the remnants of the town and rebuild it exactly as it was.

OPTION 2: Leave the destroyed part of the town as an enduring memorial to those who lost their lives here and rebuild elsewhere.

OPTION 3:  Leave the destoryed part of the town as mentioned above and reconstruct the western end of town as a functional, albeit smaller, city.

OPTION 4: Raze the remnants of the town and build a completely new one in its place.

OPTION 5: Rebuild the town in some parts, building a memorial and leaving some remnants of destruction behind as noted above and add a larger military footprint as a permanent garrison to protect the site.

OPTION 6: Rebuild the site exclusively as a military base and permanently relocate citizens elsewhere.
