Wirt, Schulmanicus

The birthplace and original home of the Supreme Wirdle is one of the first four towns founded in Schulmania in prehistoric times.

Welcome to the capital of the Kingdom of Schulmanicus

Wirt is one of the first four cities founded in Schulmania and is located in the center of the home island of Schulmanicus. Birthplace of the Supreme Wirdle, Wirt was made the capital of Schulmania and served as such until a new, modern capital was completed in eastern Tenne. A prehistoric site, the town grew to over 5000 inhabitants in the archaic period. As the town and nation grew, Wirtyplace, the Supreme Wirdle’s residence in the center of town, became too small to be the center of government. A government center was built at the base of Oak Ridge, on the eastern side of town.

The Supreme Wirdle relocated the national capital to Tenne after the Queensferry War, leaving Wirtyplace as the residence of Admiral Hestorb, who holds the title of Queen of Schulmanicus. Archduke Bower also resides in Wirt, which serves as the capital of the Archduchy of Schulmanicus.

The town is arranged around the central square around Wirtyplace. At the base of the ridge sits Old Wirt Farm, the oldest site in the city and is the birthplace of the Supreme Wirdle. Bureau of Feline Affairs Governor-General H. J. Franciflora was born nearby as well and is the second most famous Wirt native.

Wirt serves as the capital of the Kingdom of Schulmanicus, the oldest region of Schulmania, comprising of the islands of Schulmanicus, Atkinos, and Gran Maru.  It is the home of the
Old Wirt Farm National Historic Site, Wirtyplace and the largest collection of prehistoric and archaic structures in the nation. Adjacent is the town of Fort Wirt, which features a massive castle overlooking the Tenne Sea.
