Chevette, East Atkinos

Chevette was one of the first towns destroyed by Queensferry in the war.

War’s First Casualty

Chevette is a town located along the eastern coast, approximately halfway between the port towns of Cape Eastway, Devonshire and Woods of Wayne, East Atkinos. The coastline between those towns is rugged and not suitable for a harbor, so Chevette’s growth was limited. Most development was spurred by overland trade between Devonshire and East Atkinos.

Chevette was best known for its slow moving blue buggies often clogging its narrow roads.  Manufactured locally by Paul Weasel Transportation Company, the iconic buggies were often seen used in East Atkinos and Devonshire for short haul transit. Initially lauded for its iron framework, rapid rust through earned Chevette’s signature product the nickname “rust bucket.”

Chevette now has a different and less pleasant trivia point—it is one of the first three towns shelled and destroyed by enemy forces at the outset of the Queensferry War. Fortunately, early warning of an invasion led to the evacuation of most of the residents; casualties were light but the town has been completely destroyed.

Chevette was dominated by Narrow Style buildings, such as these shown here.

The compact town was densely packed with development. Overland trade provided a steady flow of schulmonetas to the town.
