Knoxvegas, South East Tenne

Knoxvegas began as a fish camp and grew into the provisional capital of Tenne. The town grew immensely thanks to immigration from Devonshire and now ranks as one of the most populated cities in the nation.

First City in Tenne

Knoxvegas was founded as one of several settlements for fishermen after  the discovery of the lands on the western shore of the Tenne Sea. The town, built on a barrier island, grew to be the first incorporated city in the region and was tapped to be the provisional capital of the area. A permanent capital for the Kingdom of Tenne will move the regional government’s seat, but the district government will continue to be housed in Knoxvegas.

As the town grew, its strategic and economic importance grew even larger.  As the eastern coast was threatened with invasion, many settlers in eastern Devonshire moved inland to safety in Knoxvegas, swelling the population of the town well beyond anyone’s expectations. Many parts of the city were rebuilt to accommodate the influx and the entire island was developed, making Knoxvegas the most densely populated city in the nation. At the time of the Queensferry War’s outset, this migration pushed Knoxvegas’ population past Robinia’s to be come the most populous city in the realm. Sure to be surpassed in population eventually, Knoxvegas’ dense development will most likely allow it to retain the title of most densely populated for quite some time.

The population density has given rise top the tallest cluster of buildings in the nation as well as one of the largest colleges, East Tenne University. Several cultural institutions have also expanded to serve the growing population, including the Maxis Theater and Blount Museum of Cat Toys & Scratching Posts.

The provisional capitol will become the seat of South East Tenne district government. It is flanked by several important government and religious structures.

High density development has pushed buildings skyward on this small island. Engineers are pressing the upper limits of what our technology can support for building height.

East Tenne University is the largest post secondary institution in the region and one of the largest in the nation.

Taller residential structures have been built on the entire southern half of the island. These accommodate the massive influx of residents, swelling the population from a pre-war count of about 8,000 to over 40,000 today.
