This military and diplomatic enclave is administered by the Bureau of Feline Affairs Council and governed by the Governor-General. The Wirdleplex consists of the southeastern corner of East Wirdleonia south of the Wirdleonia River and lands east of that district. Frequently asked questions about felines and our answers to them

Sponsored by the Bureau of Feline Affairs Department of Human Interaction

Q: Does my cat speak in English (or French, Spanish, etc.)?

A: No. All cats speak Feline (“Meow” in Feline) around the world. But, cats can understand your language when exposed to it. And, on occasion, a cat may show interest in what you have to say, especially if it involves food.

Q: Can cats read?

A: Of course! Lay out a newspaper on a chair or couch and see how long it takes for a cat to come by and sit on it. How can cats read? It’s all thanks to the Feline Literacy Project.

Q: What is my cat’s faith?

A: Cats have many beliefs, just as humans do. The easy way to tell if your feline friend is pious is to see if they make a circular rotation or two before settling in for a nap. That’s how cats say their bedtime prayers. Most cats do.

The Supreme Wirdle praying...

Q: Which is smarter—cats or dogs?

A: Cats, of course. After all, dogs have masters and cats have staff!

Q: Why does the cat miss the litter box?

A: There’s a couple of real possibilities for this one. It seems to be the #1 reason humans become unhappy with their feline companions. Use this simple checklist to see if you can find a reason…
Does it get cleaned out regularly? After all, if you won’t use that gas station bathroom which needs a key to open and a prayer to leave alive, why would a cat use one just as nasty?
Is it somewhere quiet and undisturbed? You would not go to the bathroom in a noisy, crowded room, so… try moving the box somewhere out of the way
The litter may not be nice. Some is too coarse or has weird smells. Try a few types and see if that helps.
And, if there were never problems before and now you see some, it could be a warning sign that a trip to the vet may be in order. Cats don’t let on they are sick and if you miss the hints, your chance to catch something early may pass undetected.
