The Education and Literature Commission is a national agency developed by the Supreme Wirdle to fund and organize education at all levels across Schulmania. Each regional government has its own education agency, all of which report to the Education and Literature Commission.  The Commission coordinates education as well as sponsors the development and dissemination of feline literature.

The education facet is addressed by the comprehensive Nine Lives Education Program.  This program articulates a curriculum framework for lifetime education across four main levels.  The government provides a free, appropriate public education to all citizens.

The literature facet is handled by the Literature Office, a division of the Education & Literature Commission. The Literature Office  promotes lifetime literacy and encourages the publication of a wide variety of print materials for feline and humanoid Schulminions.  The Literature Office was initially founded to assist in spreading the new feline cuneiform  alphabet. After, the Literature Office began subsidizing authors and publications.
