The Colonial Government and Exploration Commission has been active for a very long time and has proved instrumental in the growth and development of Schulmania. The CGEC started development of the Grand Duchy of Hornisse in southwestern Schulmania in late 2012. The unorganized feline territories north of the Devonshire border have sent repeated emissaries to the Royal Court seeking protection from Queensferry incursions into the area. Local leaders there have requested to become colonies of Schulmania. The territories, formerly known as “The Northlands” have been accepted as the colonies of Mookimia and Moookimian Verà, named for Chancellor Mooky and his wife, Queen Vera under the terms of the Treaty of Fort Wirt. Until a full regional government has been approved and set up, the CGEC will also administer this vast area, encompassing the territory of approximately twelve full districts. |

HISTORICAL ACTIVITY OF THE CGEC The Colonial Government and Exploration Commission was established in ancient times when Schulminions first started exploring off of Schulmanicus in the Tenne Sea. The CGEC was charged with outfitting early explorers who founded settlements on Gran Maru, Atkinos, and New Atkinos and on the mainland in Devonshire and northern Wirdleonia. Later, the base of operations at Smightower served as the starting point for explorations of the Tenne Sea and the discovery of Tenne. In addition to funding and supporting discovery, the CGEC is charged with administering lands it discovers until they have been admitted as integral units of Schulmania or assigned to a unit of Schulmania for administration. Gran Maru, Atkinos, Atkiniros, and the western Devonshire coast were all settled and operated under the auspices of the CGEC until each was made a constituent part of the Government of Schulmania. |
