The Schulmania Medical Corps (SMC) is the national health care agency.  SMC has several internal divisions, each responsible for a different segment of health care. The Klingman Institute oversees hospitals and clinics nationwide.

 

The Klingman Institute operates medical facilities in every town in Schulmania. Larger towns have full-scale hospitals and health centers; small towns have comprehensive health clinics. All facilities offer medical and dental services. Specialized services are available at larger facilities. Most SMC facilities operate under the names of Klingman Institute, Collin Health Center or Kelly Clinic. Private health services are also available and are fully licensed and accredited by the appropriate agencies.

 

The Klingman Institute has established core values and principles for facilities it administers. In our academic medical centers, the responsibility to teach and do research in the laboratory, at the bedside and in the community enhances the fundamental goal of entirely personal, compassionate patient care. The Klingman Institute will strive to provide superlative patient care, considered to be the requisite model for learning. To do this, we adhere to these principles:

The Office of Medical Services operates wings in hospitals and clinics nationwide to aid military members in recovery from wounds received in battle. The Cat Care Plan (CCP) provides wounded warriors a full array of medical care for injuries as well as comprehensive rehabilitation services and counseling as needed.  The CCP also includes field hospitals and battlefield triage/battalion aid stations in combat zones. Naval task forces may be accompanied by a fully staffed surgical team. Generally, the flagship of each fleet has a full fleet hospital, providing amenities comparable to ground hospitals in country.
